The Woolmark Company is the global authority on wool and the Woolmark symbol is recognised as one of the world’s most respected textile brands. It provides assurance of the highest quality, fibre content and represents pioneering excellence and innovation from farm to finished product.

Its collaboration with London Fashion Week Men’s and The English Gentleman has served as a way to expand and develop awareness of its activities and designer partnerships during the shows, in order to highlight the relevance of wool across the seasons within menswear and especially within the British fashion and textile manufacturing industry.

Produced by sheep benefiting from the simple mix of fresh air, sunshine, grass and water, Australian Merino wool is lovingly cultivated by generations of sheep farmers, who nurture every step of the production process to deliver one of the earth’s finest and most precious fibres.

Australian Merino wool is an entirely natural fibre grown all year round. Merino wool naturally ‘breathes’, effectively regulating the wearer’s body temperature to keep them warm in winter and cool in summer. Wool naturally absorbs moisture, nullifies odour and resists static electricity, it has a natural stretch and recovery due to the fibre crimp, and is less likely to pill thanks to the long fibre lengths. Its natural versatility means it can be used for fine next-to-skin knitwear, superfine suiting and outerwear protective coats and with the Woolmark endorsement, garment performance is ensured.

The live displays at The English Gentleman presentations showed the true versatility of Merino wool and its abundance in garment uses, richness in colour, texture and softness.
